Learning and You provides basic, remedial and enrichment services to students in grades K-12. Our tutoring instructional program uses a variety of research-based approaches and instructional methodologies that are prescriptive, skilled-based, project driven, and aligned with the Common Core State Standards.
The instructional focus is derived from the differentiated curriculum model. Students are pretested using a standardized test to identify their academic strengths, challenges and learning styles. Once the skill levels of students have been identified, an individualized learning plan and the instructional tools are identified.
Tutoring hours and locations are flexible. Tutoring can occur one-on-one, in small groups, before, during, and or after school, and on weekends. Tutoring can occur at our office, in libraries, churches, and other public facilities such as the Boys and Girls Club.
